The present day F1 electricity unit is intricate engineering pushed to the pretty boundaries of known tolerances. The existing generation 1.6-litre V6-turbo hybrids are the Mount Everest of efficiency, that is to say, you may perhaps effectively have ascended to the prime, but the descent is equally as challenging. But that is then, the now is however related. 1 of the key factors in a 2022 F1 motor is the MGU-K unit which is embedded into the motor. The MGU-K will work in a comparable fashion to a turbo in that it collects squander strength of some kind. The MGU-K’s turbo-boosting is produced by kinetic braking forces which is then collected as electrical energy. This vitality is stored and deployed at the driver’s command.
